After 10 months working on this story between writing it, editing it, sweating over it, it is DONE!
I am so grateful to Wildflower Words Editing for working with me to hone it and for her suggestions with additions that would help make the story pop. It is all set up for the ARC’s to go out, and is with the printing companies being checked and finalized!
So what do I do to celebrate?
Immediately start writing an extra bonus chapter… because I just can’t walk away from Kane and Daphne yet. I have plans to turn this into a series, so when you read it, let me know which characters you think will be part of the next book or two, I’m curious which ones will stand out!
I will say, I am finding myself now kind of at odds. I have the main attorney romance story that I am working on, but my mind also keeps wanting to delve into the world of fantasy a little, and see what I can create. My husband and I both play DnD, though he has run several games while I was just someone who played in them, but I have come to realize that the world building is like building a campaign. One day my husband and I will sit down, and he will walk me through his process to plan for a campaign, how he created the world. He didn’t have to create a magic system because that was embedded in the world already through the source books, but he has played with how it was used.
For those who have built fantasy worlds, what system did you use, or how did you go about planning it? My only real foray into it was in Of Sense and Sensibility, where it was fae set in the human realm, so it wasn’t that outside of the norm other than the fae and human’s largely maintaining their distance.
